100 Cribs at the Vatican from 7 December 2018 to 13 January 2019 with free admission to the Sala San Pio X in Via della Conciliazione 7.

The traditional "100 Cribs" International Exhibition, now in its 43rd edition, has moved from Piazza del Popolo to Via della Conciliazione in the Vatican this year. The Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization since last August has revealed this important artistic and cultural review.
This transfer was made by Dr. Mariacarla Menaglia, director of the "Rivista delle Nazioni", the organization that for 42 years organized the event and the daughter of the late Manlio, creator and founder of the exhibition itself.

The exhibition this year will therefore be called "100 cribs in the Vatican" and will be held at Christmas time at the Sala San Pio X in Via della Conciliazione.

The denomination "100 PRESEPI" is only a historical reference, as it indicates the number of cribs exhibited in the first editions.
In the Exposition, visitors have the opportunity, through the great variety of proposals, to deepen the knowledge of nativity art even in its constructive and stylistic aspects...

The static or moving cribs have different settings: from the classic ones of the seventeenth and eighteenth century Neapolitan and Sicilian and nineteenth century Roman to those futuristic expressed with crystals, iron and colored lights or imaginative car engines, televisions, demijohns and more.
The nativity scenes and vintage crib figures, coming from museums and private collections, are works created by the most famous masters and artists lived in the past, and come from the regions of the most ancient crib traditions such as Campania, Lazio, Liguria , Puglia, Sicily and from abroad. In the last six editions the exhibition has been awarded with the silver plaque of the President of the Republic, and plaques and medals of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
